It is with great pride that I announce my candidacy for the position of Strafford County Sheriff. I have lived in the county for most of my life. My husband and I are now raising our two middle school-aged sons here.

I attended the University of New Hampshire for both my undergraduate and graduate coursework, where I earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

My career in law enforcement began in 2001 for the Town of Madbury, where I served as a patrol officer. I then moved to the Durham Police Department where I served for 16 years  My hard work, commitment to justice and support of exceptional mentors allowed me to rise through the ranks while earning the trust and respect of colleagues and community members.

I had the privilege of graduating from the FBI National Academy in 2017. In 2018 I began serving as Chief of Police in North Hampton. My time as Police Chief was both the most challenging and rewarding of my career. During my tenure, the department managed the challenges of the Covid pandemic and forged trusting relationships with the local schools. We also garnered the support of the community for a new public safety complex.

After twenty years in New Hampshire, I joined the York County Sheriff’s Office in Maine. I have been serving as the Major of Operations since April 2023. This role has given me the opportunity to work for a sheriff’s office, broadening my law enforcement skills. I am now also certified in the State of Maine. 

In my personal life and throughout my career in public service, I have consistently upheld the values of honesty and integrity. Transparency in policing has been a cornerstone of my career. I firmly believe that trust is earned, and to that end I have sought to ensure that every action taken by me and officers under my command is guided by fairness and accountability.

I am committed to building upon my successes with determination and compassion as I tackle the challenges of the Sheriff’s Office. I will work with the leadership and the citizens of Strafford County to forge a brighter future for our community, rooted in justice, fairness and respect for all.
